Vinay Rajkumar Inaugurates 11th Edition of Kreedaa Kaushalya

On 3rd April 2026, Kannada actor Vinay Rajkumar lit the lamp and inaugurated the 11th edition of Ramsons Kreedaa Kaushalya at Ramsons Bombe Mane, Nazarbad, Mysore. The biennial exhibition of traditional board games of India drew an enthusiastic gathering of art lovers, game enthusiasts, and cultural scholars.

Ganesh Shivaswamy, noted Raja Ravi Varma scholar and founder of the Ganesh Shivaswamy Foundation, unveiled the newly introduced gameboard of Patra Gattam. Smt. Shubha Sanjay Urs, founder of Mysuru Book Clubs, released the second edition of the book Traditional Indian Boardgames: A Guide to the Art of Play, co-authored by the research team at Ramsons Kala Pratishtana.

Artists Manish Verma and Srikanth Sharma of Mysuru Puppet Theatre were felicitated at the event.

The exhibition features approximately 27 traditional games in craft forms including Kalamkari, Lambani embroidery, Solapur Dhurrie, and woven fabrics. A live gaming parlour runs daily from 4 pm to 7 pm with experienced instructors. Entry is free. The exhibition continues until 31st May 2026, 10 am to 7 pm, at Ramsons Bombe Mane, Nazarbad, Mysore.
