            Excellent content, minor binding note

            Very detailed and well-researched. The text is academic in places but the visual material makes up for it. Could have used better binding — pages feel slightly loose at the spine. Content is absolutely worth it though.

            Was hunting for this for months

            Was looking for this for months. My local bookshops had no idea it existed. Ordered online and it arrived quickly. The quality of illustrations is excellent — proper reproduction, not muddy prints. Will order Vol 1 next.

            Both volumes together — worth it

            Bought both volumes together. Vol 2 is thicker and goes deeper into the technical side of Mysore art. The chapter on preparatory drawings alone is worth the price. Packaging was careful, arrived in perfect condition.

            Assigned as course reading

            I teach art history at a Pune college and have assigned both volumes of Mysuru Rekha Chitra Siri as course reading. Vol 2 in particular covers linework techniques I have not found documented anywhere else in English. The reproductions are sharp enough to study properly. Highly recommended for anyone serious about Indian art.
