Mysuru Chitra Kovida - B.P. Ramakrishna

Came across this store on Instagram and ordered immediately. The book is slim but every page earns its place. No filler. The prints are crisp. At this price it is almost a gift.

RG Singh runs the store and RG Singh published the book. When you buy from Ramsons you are buying directly from the source. The book on Ramakrishna is painstakingly done — the biographical sections are as good as the artwork documentation. Rare to find this level of care in Indian art publishing.

Bought this for a painter friend who has been trying to learn Mysore-style painting. She has not put it down since. The documentation of B.P. Ramakrishna's work is thorough — the progression from sketch to finished painting is shown step by step. A genuinely useful book, not just a coffee table piece.
