Sixteen Sepoys is a traditional two-player war board game in which each player commands an army of sixteen soldiers. The objective is total defeat of the enemy — capture every last one of your opponent's sepoys and the battle is yours.

With thirty-two soldiers on the board from the outset, the tension is immediate and unrelenting. Soldiers move one step at a time along connected points, but the game's real weapon is the chain capture — land behind an opponent with open space and you leap over them, removing them from battle. Keep the momentum and a single soldier can cut through multiple enemies in one devastating turn. There are no safe squares, no second chances, and no retrieving a fallen sepoy. One careless move can cost you half your army.

This set is crafted in the Kalamkari tradition, one of India's oldest hand-painting arts, known for its fluid linework and richly detailed motifs drawn from mythology and nature. The characteristic illustrative quality of Kalamkari lends the battlefield a character that is both ancient in spirit and striking in appearance.
